Positions of the 2014 DC Mayoral Candidates on Social Issues

You can find the following and more positions on our DC Mayoral Candidate social issue positions comparison chart at www.urbanlifetraining.org

DC Mayoral candidates David Catania, Muriel Bowser, Carol Schwartz and Bruce Majors to not support defining marriage as being between only one man and one woman.

David Catania and Muriel Bowser both support the legalization of the growing and possession of marijuana in the District of Columbia (Proposition 71).

Only Bruce Majors bothered to answer the Urban Life Training Social Issues Questionnaire as to whether or not they will support a Right Choices Youth Prevention Corps that promotes sexual abstinence before marriage.  Based on our current and previous interactions with both Councilmembers Catania and Bowser it is unlikely that either will support such an effort.

Positions of the 2014 DC At-Large Member of the Council Candidates on Social Issues

At least 11 of the 15 candidates for At-Large member of the DC Council support legalization of Marijuana, which will also be on the ballot (Initiative 71).
There is not even one At-Large candidate who supports the definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman only.  Find out more about each DC Council At-Large candidates' position on these important issues at our At-Large Candidate Social Issue Position comparison chart here.

Positions of the 2014 DC Chairman of the Council Candidates on Social Issues
